The aim of a placement consultant can’t be defined as merely filling a job vacancy for there clientele, but to advice a proper career strategy to a jobseeker so as to fulfill his career aspirations. The implications of poor selection decisions are enormous. If a wrong selection is made or the individual chooses to leave soon after starting work, it can be very expensive in terms of management time and having to recruit a replacement. This can have an adverse impact on the employer, the quality of work and team morale. It is important, therefore, to match the ‘right person’ to the ‘right job’. Herein our role comes into play, wherein we use a 6 pronged approach towards selection of the right candidate having a right aptitude for the right job.

To start with :
1) We try to learn about our clients as much as possible through meetings with senior executives. This helps us in understanding there work culture and business processes.
2) Based on those discussions as well as taking input from the concerned persons we create a job profile of the required candidate. Our team then discusses the created job profile with the HR of the client company.
3) Then a team is created consisting of a Partner, one Team Lead, two Practice Lead and few Consultants who work on that particular assignment. The strength of the team depends upon the availability of profile.
4) Now to identify a particular profile we first search our own database of profiles & take the help of job portals like Monster. If we don’t find matching profiles we go for head hunting.
5) Once matching profile candidates are short -listed they are called for an interview. Once we are satisfied with the quality of the profile of the candidate we forward him/her for an interview with the client company HR on an appointed date and time.
6) If the candidate is finally selected for the vacant position by the client company we undertake a through reference check of the candidate on behalf of the client.
